Suffolk County Community College All On-Campus Students Must Now Be Vaccinated for COVID-19

ALERT: ALL ON-CAMPUS STUDENTS MUST NOW BE VACCINATED

The Food and Drug Administration has given a COVID-19 vaccine full approval.

• All SUNY institutions – including SUNY Suffolk – now require that on-campus students, and any students accessing campus facilities, must provide proof of full vaccination to the campus Office of Health Services before September 27, 2021.

• Students may request an exemption from this requirement based on medical or religious grounds but must do so by September 8, 2021. Filing for an exemption is a rigorous and demanding process. Students will be notified if their request is approved.• Students who do not submit proof of vaccination – or who do not request and receive an approved exemption – will not be able to continue in-person learning on campus.

• On-campus students who do not comply with SUNY’s COVID-19 Vaccination Policy by September 27, 2021, are required by SUNY to be withdrawn from all face-to-face classes without refund. Student financial aid or scholarships may also be impacted.

• Fully remote students are not subject to this requirement if they do not intend to access campus services and activities. We strongly encourage all students who do not plan to become vaccinated to build a schedule using online options and to immediately contact their Campus Counseling Center to determine class availability and make schedule changes.
