Thanks for recent Gift-in-Kind contributions by M&T Bank and Millie Nieves, Assistant Vice President, Bilingual Branch Manager of the Riverhead Branch at 1430 Old Country Road. Ms. Nieves organized food collection to support Suffolk County Community College students on the Eastern Campus with help from multiple bank branches and local community members. On-going philanthropic and volunteer support of students has been encouraged by Ms. Nieves as a member of the Suffolk Community College Foundation Board of Directors.
Assorted food items are available through the Office of Campus Activities, Peconic Building Room 122 for students and family members experiencing food insecurity. Campus Activities Director Denny Teason expressed gratitude and shared ‘this donation is especially important this time of year.’ The collection of over 15 bags and boxes helped students from December 2023 into the Spring 2023 academic semester.
Please consider a contributing additional food, funds or a monthly gift to assist students at Suffolk County Community College in Brentwood, Riverhead and Selden. You can assist through the Sister Mary Ann’s Helping Hands Fund with an online donation or check made payable to:
