SUBJECT:     Today is Commencement Day!

Congratulations to the Class of 2021, and sincerest appreciation to everyone in the college community who has dedicated their daily work in support of our students’ efforts to reach this important milestone. Today, many dreams are a step closer to being realized for the over 4,000 graduates of Suffolk County Community College.

Please join in the celebration and excitement of today by taking some time to view our virtual commencement ceremony video online.

Getting to the video is easy. This link (https://www.sunysuffolk.edu/commencement/index.jsp) brings you to our commencement website. When the site opens, simply click on the virtual ceremony video—it’s right on top.

The 30-minute virtual ceremony features an address by Interim President Louis Petrizzo, followed by congratulatory greetings from Board of Trustee Chair E. Christopher Murray, Foundation Board Chair Belinda Alvarez-Groneman, and College Vice President Paul Beaudin.  It also includes speeches by our three campus student speakers: Dylan Miller from the Ammerman Campus, Marlena Titus from the Eastern Campus and Katelyn Dorchak from the Michael J. Grant Campus.

The commencement website also contains links to the personalized graduation messages developed by members of the Class of 2021, as well as congratulatory messages from faculty and administrators, elected officials and other dignitaries.

It is an honor and a privilege to share in this day of celebration with all of you!
