The many tens of thousands of marchers and other participants welcome and include non-Latinos in a demonstration of community solidarity!

We are encouraging all College faculty, staff, students, alumni and families to join us and march in support of this important community event.

  • The College’s parade line-up position is #38. Anyone planning to march should meet the College team Walbridge Avenue (off Fifth Avenue) in Bay Shore, NY at 10 a.m. The position line-up begins at 10 a.m., and all participants must be in position before 11 a.m. as streets will eventually be closed. The parade starts at 12 noon.
  • Please wear a Suffolk blue or Suffolk logo shirt or feel free to represent your heritage!
  • The weather forecast calls for a perfect 73-degree day, however we will walk rain or shine.
  • We will provide a light breakfast, coffee, water and snacks.
  • We will have flags, and you are encouraged to bring their own as well.
  • Wear sunscreen and comfortable sneakers/shoes for walking.
  • No animals are permitted with the exception of guide dogs/service animals.

The music, floats, dancers and artistic displays will all be part of the day’s excitement. We hope you will join us in celebrating Suffolk County Community College!
